The tale of the Pretty Bird ostrich is a metaphorical one. She sets out on a journey in search of her name, guided by Mr. Sun who lights the pathway and watches over her adventures. But when night falls, it is the Moon who comes to warn her about the perils of the Darkness in the forest.Yet, she becomes trapped and feels helplessly abandoned. But by Divine Grace she is liberated and in all its splendour, rediscovers her “name”.
The moral of this story is about overcoming life’s challenges and injustices. By trusting in a Guiding Force, one triumphs over evil and is liberated during times of desperation. It is by surrendering to faith and through perseverance, that leads to a spiritual transformation. Our journey in life is one of discovery that ultimately reunites us with the welcoming embrace of the Divine Presence.
