This print represents a pre-dawn readying of soldiers, kit, and vehicles for battle

in the Kandahar Province districts of Zharey, Panjwayi, Shaw Wali Kot, Khakrez and Maywand.

It was inspired by a Third-Generation Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV 3) Rifle Section from the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment Battle Group including soldiers from Gagetown, Petawawa and Edmonton and dozens of units and bases across Canada.

This print is representative of every Canadian soldier's personal preparations for the Afghanistan conflict.
