This print represents soldiers gaining lodgement after making contact with the enemy. It was created for Third Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment Battle Group following their 2008-2009 deployment to Afghanistan.

On 12 November, 2008, Soldiers of November Company, Third Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment Battle Group, conduct an entry drill into an insurgent compound after they were engaged by small arms and rocket propelled grenade fire from several locations in a known insurgent stronghold.

The fighting continued for several hours and the company, along with their Afghan National Army partners, successfully cleared insurgents from the area, discovering materials used to make Improvised Explosive Devices as well as medical and ammunition caches.

Artwork was created in 2009.
