Workshop: Gold leaf Christmas decoration

All supplies included using methods that imitate the technique from the middle ages when gold leaf was used as a decorative style to adorn furniture, painting and illuminate the pages of manuscripts.

 

Renaissance Angel prints will be available

Alternative is a “Pet” decoration.

Email a photo of your pet and I will have it printed (4 copies) for the class. Cost for the customized image is $10 per picture (with a max. 4 copies).

 

Total 4 decorative wooden ornaments to be completed during the course of the workshop.

 

• Workshop involves preparing the wooden ornament with gesso.

• Applying a red Base

• Size (glue) is applied where the (imitation) gold or silver is to adhere

• Antiquing

• Adding the image of an Angel or Pet Portrait

• Sealing
