This print was created for Third Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment Battle Group following their 2008-2009 deployment to Afghanistan.It illustrates how soldiers conduct a foot patrol in the Panjwaii District.
Patrols were often sent to provide security to the local population and to disrupt insurgent activities throughout the area of operations. Dismounted and mounted patrols would often last several hours but were successful in providing security to key locations within the district.
